Caro has been teaching music since 1999 at schools and privately from home. She loves running music workshops for adults in the community. She is passionate about having an inclusive approach to music making. This proved to be very successful in her first community ukulele group: ‘The Ukes of Howick’ which grew to 80 members in a couple of years time.

 

She now runs The ‘Pukeleles’ - a community ukulele group in the Franklin Area. As well as that Caro teaches guitar, recorder and uke at different schools. Caroline uses the “Orff Schulwerk” method of teaching both at home and at
school.

 

“Imagination, Improvisation, Creativity and Fun” are Caro’s four key words. She plays the guitar, ukulele, banjo, recorder, and flute. Caro has been writing music since the age of 14 and is an enthusiastic member of the semi-professional ukulele group ‘North of Bombay’ and has recorded several albums, including resources for schools and music educators.
 

Creating stories with matching illustrations is one of Caro’s passions. It gets her in the zone. She loves using mixed media and uses whatever is around.
